Mary tells us that she phoned several women's shelters where
she and the children were able to stay after she decided to leave the violent
relationship. There are approximately 40 shelters in Alberta. Below are
links to information about shelters that provide both accommodation and
crisis intervention.
The organizations in this section provide information about shelters and crisis services for women who have experienced violence. As well, these organizations may provide information on counselling, treatment programs, education, support groups, intervention, and referral services.
